FLEA & TICK TREATMENT

Red Dirt Pest Control will come to your home to perform an inspection to confirm the species of flea and tick and to recommend a course of effective flea and tick elimination using our integrated pest management system.

Fleas are parasites that feed on any warm-blooded body. They will feed on cats, dogs and humans. Fleas can live for about 100 days. The females produce between 400 and 500 offspring during her lifetime.

They use rodents and other mammals such as cats and dogs as a transportation highway. They are moved to new areas on shoes, pant legs, blankets and clothing. They can jump as high as 8”.

Their saliva is what causes dogs, cats and humans to itch. They cause a flea allergy dermatitis in pets and can cause a similar allergic reaction in humans. They can cause painful itchy red bumps.
